Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has announced the formation of a coalition of opposition political parties aimed at unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Atiku, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2023 election, made this revelation during a press conference at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja on Thursday. Speaking on behalf of opposition leaders, he confirmed the coalition’s formation and its mission.
“Yes, this marks the birth of a coalition of opposition parties ahead of 2027,” Atiku declared.
The move signals a strategic effort by opposition parties to unify against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general election.
