Nigerian street-hop sensation, Portable, has once again made headlines, this time for calling out controversial social media critic, Verydarkman (VDM), over claims that he would feature the singer in a diss track aimed at gospel artist Mercy Chinwo.
The drama started after Mercy Chinwo slapped VDM with a whopping ₦1.1 billion lawsuit for defamation. In a bid to hit back, VDM declared that he would be dropping a diss track—and that Portable would be making a guest appearance on it.
But the “Zazoo Zeh” crooner was having none of it! In a fiery response, Portable distanced himself from the controversy and advised VDM to steer clear of defaming people online.
In his usual dramatic style, Portable wasted no time in shutting down VDM’s claims. Taking to social media, he said:
“Very the dark brain, stop talking about me. You defame people online, everyone with grace, by coming for everyone. You are saying you will feature me, do you have ₦100M?”
His response has since set social media on fire, with fans applauding him for refusing to get dragged into the messy situation. Some netizens even joked that VDM might now have to find another street artist willing to take on the gospel queen.
