Nigerian music star Davido has called out Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Umar Abba over the political crisis rocking the state.
It was reported that Osun State, where Davido hails from and which his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, is currently governing, has been embroiled in a political tussle between the PDP members and APC members. The crisis stems from attempts by sacked Local Government chairman elected on the platform of the APC to force their way into office despite court orders removing them from office.
Governor Adeleke had a press conference over the weekend in which he called on the President to caution his nephew and one of his Ministers, Gboyega Odetola, from causing chaos in his state by instructing security agents to ensure the return of the sacked chairmen to their offices. Governor Adeleke argued that as a democratic government, politicians with any grievance have the window of challenging it in the Appeal courts.
On Monday morning, the local government secretariat in the State became battlefields as gunshots rented the air when the sacked Local Government chairmen and their allies attempted to enter the various secretaries. They were resisted by the PDP members.
Davido, who is dissatisfied by the handling of the crisis by the police commissioner, via his Twitter page, called out the police boss. He told him to respect the rule of law as he warned him not to try him.
He went on to call him a disgrace to his children as he vowed to lose his cool over him.
