All 36 members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have expressed their confidence in Speaker Princess Mojisola Meranda, supporting her leadership of the House.
Oladipo Ajomale, representing Oshodi/Isolo 2, proposed the motion, stating that Meranda was elected by the lawmakers and is the right leader for the House at this time. Aro Moshood seconded the motion, and the remaining 34 lawmakers also gave their approval.
Assembly staff also showed their support for the Speaker.
After the vote of confidence, the House adjourned its sitting until further notice.
