ACI to Plant 1,500 Trees, Donate 15,000 Green Books for 15th Anniversary

The African Cleanup Initiative (ACI) has announced plans to plant 1,500 trees and donate 15,000 copies of the Green Book across Nigeria to mark its 15th anniversary.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Dr. Alexander Akhigbe, ACI’s Founder, revealed that the NGO would also conduct massive cleanup exercises nationwide and donate 5,000 reusable pads as part of its commitment to sustainability.

The anniversary celebrations, themed “Green Week of Impact,” will take place from June 9th to 15th and will feature: “Tree planting and book donations, cleanup exercises across the country, recyclespay Quiz & Debate Competition. 

Akhigbe called on all stakeholders, partners, and supporters to join in celebrating ACI’s 15-year journey in environmental sustainability.

“Our anniversary is a time to reflect on our journey, appreciate selfless contributions, and renew our commitment to people and the planet,” he said.

He emphasized that building environmentally responsible citizens is possible through collective action and collaboration.
