Brila FM, Nigeria’s premier sports radio station, has alleged that some.of it’s former employees stole about N150million from the company and in a ploy to subvert justice launched a campaign of calumny against the foremost broadcast company.
The organization said in a statement that the former employees launched an “ill-intentioned and orchestrated campaign of calumny” following the discovery of the financial improprieties within the organization.
The management revealed that criminal activities, including diversion of funds, invoice fabrication, and payment manipulation, resulted in a loss of over N150 million over several years.
These discoveries have prompted law enforcement investigations, with suspects already interrogated and confessions obtained.
The station also condemned attempts by some implicated individuals to manipulate public perception through social media blackmail against Brila FM and its founder, Dr. Larry Izamoje.
Management reassured stakeholders of its commitment to professionalism and transparency as it collaborates with authorities to ensure justice and accountability.
