Nigerian Afrobeats star Patoranking is mourning the tragic loss of his younger sister, Chioma, and her husband, George, following a fatal gas explosion at their home. The devastating incident occurred just a day after the couple’s housewarming and child’s birthday celebration.
Chioma reportedly passed away immediately following the explosion, while her husband, George, survived initially but succumbed to his injuries on September 11, 2024. The heartbreaking news was shared by Instagram blogger, Cutie Juls, who urged friends and colleagues of Patoranking to offer their support during this difficult period.
Patoranking had recently celebrated his daughter’s sixth birthday, expressing his joy and love for her, making the sudden loss of his sister and brother-in-law even more tragic.
Cutie Juls’s post reads, “‘Remember when I posted last week or so that Patoranking’s sister passed away in a gas explosion incident in their home and the husband and the child were battling for their lives. The husband also couldn’t make it, he just passed away. Patoranking tried so much, buying tons of blood to help save his brother-in-law’s life, so at least his nephew won’t be born an orphan. Remember, he loves his sister so, so much. Please, his friends should check up on him”.
