The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, has joined his ancestors.
The foremost traditional ruler passed away after a brief illness.
Though, palace of Owa Obokun has not issued any official statement, but sources from the palace confirmed the death.
“Baba has passed, but we are waiting for officials announcement from the palace, she said.
New Telegraph Correspondent who visited the palace observed presence of security personnel around the palace.
He also observed that some traditional rites typically performed following the demise of a king are being carried out.
The monarch reigned for over 40 years.
