Italy coach, Luciano Spalletti, has provided the latest injury update on Arsenal defender, Riccardo Calafiori.
Calafiori suffered a worrying and painful-looking injury during Italy’s Nations League 3-1 win over France on Friday night.
Recall that goals from Federico Dimarco, Davide Frattesi and Giacomo Raspadori gave Italy the victory over France in Paris.
There was great concern in the second half after Calafiori went down injured in a bizarre set of circumstances.
Calafiori was taken off, Spalletti has played down concerns that the 22-year-old was seriously hurt.
He added that Calafiori could even be fit to face Israel on Monday in their next game.
“We need to assess Riccardo but with our staff, we have a good chance to have him back with us for the next game,” said Spalletti at his post-match interview.
