Popular TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has taken to social media to mourn the tragic loss of his colleague Francisca Owumi, expressing deep sadness over her passing.
According to Gistreel, Francisca Owumi, the runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Nigeria in 2006, passed away on August 29, 2024, after a brief illness.
Ebuka, who was also a housemate in the first season and was rumored to have had a crush on Francisca, shared his grief on the microblogging platform X. He described her as a true pioneer of reality TV and offered prayers for her family during this challenging time.
His words: “Truly sad to hear about the passing of Francisca Owumi, 1st runner up in the very first season of Big Brother Nigeria in 2006. A true reality TV pioneer… My prayers are with her family as they go through what must be a difficult time. And may her soul rest in peace 🕊”
