The operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a 35-year-old man, Muritala Ibrahim, for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl.
This happened in Agba, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.
The suspect was apprehended after the girl’s mother lodged a complaint at the Amotekun Boripe Command office.
He was alleged to have lured the girl into his residence, where he forcefully had canal knowledge of her.
Sources said the suspect was also reported to have shaved part of the victim’s hair and gave her another dress to wear.
Confirming the arrest to the newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps Dr. Adekunle Omoyele said the suspect was arrested after the victim’s mother lodged a complaint at Amotekun Boripe Command, the operatives swung into action immediately apprehended the felon at his residence in Agba.
“The suspect confessed of perpetrating the act by defiling the small girl”.
The commander, however said the suspect has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
