President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Adeola Ajayi as the new Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
This announcement was made on Monday in Abuja by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
Ambassador Mohammed, a seasoned diplomat, has had a distinguished career in the foreign service, spanning more than two decades and including roles in countries such as North Korea, Pakistan, Sudan, and Libya, as stated by Ngelale.
Likewise, Ajayi, now leading the DSS, has advanced through the ranks, having served as the State Director in multiple states, including Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi.
The appointments were made following the resignations of the former heads of these agencies, Ahmed Abubakar and Yusuf Bichi.
