Former Chelsea and Nigerian international, Mikel Obi, has issued a blunt response to Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, saying, “Keep scoring, and I’ll shut up.”
This remark comes amid recent tensions between the two, with Obi’s statement likely to add fuel to ongoing discussions.
Obi made the comment on his Monday podcast, *The Obi One*. It was noted that the 37-year-old former midfielder had previously criticized Jackson’s goal-scoring ability on beIN Sport during Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
He had partly said, “We created chances, we haven’t taken them. And just an example of how Jackson finishes.”
Meanwhile, the Senegalese striker, in response to that, responded in an Instagram post.
“Mikel Obi, shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we are killing ourselves for Africa,” Jackson wrote in a post on Instagram, making his feelings about the criticism clear.
