Afrobeat star Davido has responded to the news of his father, Adedeji Adeleke, making a significant donation of N1 billion to the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church’s Centenary Endowment Fund.
The generous donation was announced during a remembrance service at the church’s headquarters in Lagos on Sunday, held in honor of Esther Adeleke, Adedeji Adeleke’s late mother. The endowment fund, part of the church’s centenary celebrations, is intended to support the church’s activities and future projects.
Davido took to social media to express his admiration for his father’s philanthropic efforts, particularly highlighting his support for religious institutions and education.
Reacting to a viral video of the event shared by social media influencer Tunde Ednut, the singer wrote: “Anything Church or education, no worry, you don cash out.”
Davido also took to his Instagram story to further express his pride and appreciation, he wrote:
“My dear father inspires me every day! Love this man right here.”
The donation has since sparked waves of discussions on social media.
