Media personality Daniel Regha has criticized singer Chike for gifting N1 million to a troll who mocked him, suggesting that Chike’s fame is largely attributed to his late colleague, Mohbad.
Chike, who gained significant attention with his hit song ‘Egwu’ featuring Mohbad, made headlines for sending the troll a substantial amount of money after the troll claimed Chike’s success was due to that collaboration.
Daniel Regha responded by labeling Chike’s gesture as a “misplaced priority” and a sign of a “complete lack of self-control.” Regha pointed out that while Chike chose to reward a critic, he has not shown similar generosity to his loyal fans who have supported his career over the years.
His words: “Chike gifted a troll N1m but failed to acknowledge fans who have been promoting his craft & projects for God knows how long; What he did isn’t a flex or a show of wealth, that’s a misplaced priority & a complete lack of self-control.”
