Nigerian rapper Oladips has publicly accused Wizkid of intellectual theft, claiming that Wizkid’s verse on Asake’s song “MMS” closely resembles lyrics from Oladips’s 2022 track “Ajala Traveller.”
Oladips shared a screenshot comparing the lyrics, pointing out that his line, “I had to lose myself to find my purpose,” is very similar to Wizkid’s line, “Lost Myself, and I found my purpose.”
Oladips has questioned whether this similarity is a case of “recycling or coincidence” and has called on Wizkid to address the issue.
The accusation has ignited a heated debate among fans and music enthusiasts, many of whom have taken to social media to voice their opinions on the matter.
