Police Use Tear Gas on #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protesters in Kano

On Thursday, Nigerian police deployed tear gas to disperse several hundred protesters in Kano who were demonstrating against the high cost of living, according to an AFP correspondent on the scene.

The protesters attempted to start bonfires outside the governor’s office, prompting the police to use tear gas, which forced many demonstrators to retreat.

Similar protests were also taking place in Lagos and the capital, Abuja.
