Cross River State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has promised to organize a rally tomorrow in solidarity with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu.
State chairman of the Party, Barr. Alphonsus Eba made the announcement on Wednesday while briefing Journalists at the party’s Secretariat in Calabar.
Eba said the party has secured permit from the Police “use the carnival routes, explaining that both Tinubu and the governor have done well so far despite the prevalent hardship in the country.
While appealing to youths to give the President time to pull through his economic reforms, Eba warned that protest will not solve anything “but dialogue.
“Tinubu took a bold step in withdrawing fuel subsidy because Nigeria was spending so much on it. We are all feeling the hardship but it was the best decision to take.
“He has so far tried to cushion the effect of that decision by ensuring that palliatives are shared to Nigerians. So we will organize rally to sensitize the people that Both Tinubu and the governor be given time to see through their economic reforms.
“We will not go out there to fight anybody anyone who creates problem, would be handed over to the security operatives. We as a party have secured the carnival routes but we will only go out for sensitization and not fight,” Eba explained.
