Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has shared why she remains unfazed by negative criticism. The ‘Bloody Samaritan’ star explained that she doesn’t let criticism bother her because many of her detractors are struggling with their own issues, such as depression and poverty.
In a recent interview with Dose Society, Starr said, “What matters less? I think people’s opinions and perceptions don’t matter much. People are busy with their own lives—everyone is hungry and tired. Worrying about what others think is a waste of time.”
She continued, “Sometimes, you overthink and wonder what others think about you, but they’re more concerned with their own daily struggles. There’s so much going on in the world. If you focus on what people think, you’re just wasting time. Instead, focus on yourself, be confident, and don’t be afraid to fail. When you eventually succeed, you’ll be incredibly proud of yourself.”
