Media personality Vincent Martins Otse, better known as Verydarkman (VDM), has publicly criticized Folashade Tinubu, the Iyaloja of Nigeria and daughter of President Bola Tinubu, for her recent comments to market women.
Folashade Tinubu had instructed these women to discourage their children from participating in protests and to give President Bola Tinubu three years in office before voicing any complaints.
In response, Verydarkman took to social media to express his disapproval. He argued that it is unreasonable to expect the public to remain silent while the current administration exacerbates economic difficulties. VDM criticized President Tinubu’s first year in office as the worst yet and highlighted the severe impact of the substantial increase in fuel prices.
VDM also pointed out a contradiction in Folashade Tinubu’s stance, reminding her that her father had supported protests against former President Goodluck Jonathan when fuel prices were raised from N65 to N87.
While acknowledging the right to protest, VDM condemned property looting and urged Folashade Tinubu to advise her father to address the ongoing economic issues more effectively.
