The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, on Wednesday, announced the replacement of Senator Ali Ndume with Senator Tahir Monguno, as the Chief Whip of the Senate.
Akpabio made the announcement following a letter signed by the national Chairman and the national Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Ganduje and Ajibola Basiru, respectively.
The President of the Senate first read the letter to the memebers of the Senate during plenary before formerly calling on Monguno to step forward and take his position as the new Whip of the apex legislative Assembly.
The national leadership of the ruling Party, had in the letter to the President of the Senate, accused Ndume of working against the interest of the Party as well as inciting Nigerians against the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government.
