Tiwa Savage Reveals: Olamide Gave Me Free Verse After Turning Down ₦100m Offer

Songstress Tiwa Savage recently shared a heartwarming story about her experience with rapper Olamide, revealing that he turned down ₦100 million for a verse in her song after his management initially billed her.

According to Tiwa Savage, Olamide declined to charge her due to their close bond and his understanding of the challenges female artists face in the music industry. Instead of accepting payment, Olamide offered the verse for free, showcasing his compassionate and supportive nature.

Tiwa Savage expressed her appreciation for Olamide’s generosity and highlighted the presence of genuinely kind individuals in the music industry. She mentioned their recent collaboration on the track ‘Commona,’ underscoring their positive working relationship.

“I was talking to his management, I didn’t want to talk to him directly cus he would want to do it for free. Spoke to his team and they charged N100m. I was willing to pay. When Olamide asked them who the artiste was, they said me and he just said NO. He won’t take it.

He said I am his sister and he knows how difficult it is to make it in the industry as a woman. That’s how he denied and guess what? He gave me the verse for Free. Good people exist and Baddo is one”
