Ogun Government Warns Public: Stop Buying Government-Owned Lands, Properties

The Ogun State government has issued a stern warning to the public, urging them to stop the sale and purchase of government assets in the state. This warning was delivered during a monitoring exercise conducted by the Bureau of Lands and Survey, led by Esv. Fatai Adeboyejo, in Sabo, Abeokuta North Local Government Area.

Adeboyejo condemned the activities of encroachers who have been unlawfully taking over government-acquired lands intended for public use. He advised prospective land buyers to seek inquiries and professional advice from the Director-General, Bureau of Lands and Survey, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, before making any purchases.

Additionally, the Acting Surveyor-General, Surv. Oladele Ewulo, mentioned that a task force has been established to combat the illegal activities of land grabbers. He emphasized the importance of proper documentation in land transactions.
