Doherty Memorial Grammar School Ijero-Ekiti elects new exco

The Lagos Chapter of the Doherty Memorial Grammar School Ijero-Ekiti Old Students Association, 1980 set, has elected a new executive committee to lead the association for the coming years.

In a recent general meeting, Olori Adenike Fadahunsi Olakunde was unanimously elected as the Lagos Leader. Joining her on the executive committee are Mr. Idowu Fashiku as Secretary, Mrs. Deborah Eyelade Akerele as Welfare/Social Secretary, Mr. Olukanmi Jeje as Public Relations Officer, and Mr. Lawrence Ajoje as Financial Secretary.

The association, comprised of alumni from the 1980 set, is dedicated to supporting the enhancement of their alma mater and promoting high educational standards.

In her acceptance speech, Olakunde assured members that the new executive committee would uphold the esteemed standards established by other reputable alumni associations.

She noted that the formation of the exco was informed by the need to establish enthusiastic drivers of their visions, just as he stated that, they are planning for projects to deliver expeditiously that will eventually motivate and excite other old students to be part of the association.

Promising to serve as a servant-leader, Olakunde is committed to building on the legacy of the outgoing executive team and ensuring the continued success of the association.
