Veteran actress Rita Edochie has publicly expressed her disapproval of Yvonne Jegede’s support for Yul Edochie and Judy Austin’s marriage, as discussed in a recent podcast.
Yvonne Jegede recently appeared on “The Honest Bunch” podcast, where she expressed support for Yul Edochie’s decision to marry his second wife, Judy Austin, though she later issued a public apology for her comments.
In response, Rita Edochie, who has consistently voiced her disapproval of Yul Edochie’s marriage to Judy Austin, expressed her disappointment in Yvonne’s remarks on the podcast.
Rita questioned whether Yvonne would have defended her sister’s interests if she were in the position of May Edochie, Yul’s estranged wife. She highlighted the difference between Yul and Regina Daniels’ husband, Ned Nwoko, noting that while Nwoko is a known polygamist and a Muslim, whose religion permits polygamy, Yul publicly humiliated his estranged wife on social media.
While acknowledging that polygamy is neither a sin nor an abomination, Rita emphasized that it often brings chaos and expressed her belief that those who support Yul Edochie’s second marriage may face negative consequences.
