The Police Command in Kaduna State confirmed a failed kidnap attempt by gunmen on Wednesday night targeting Alhaji Umar Musa, the Paramount Ruler of Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area.
ASP Mansir Hassan, spokesperson for the command, stated that the whereabouts of the chief’s wife remain unknown. Security operatives have been deployed to the forests around Sanga in search of her.
The Ninzo Development Association, in a statement signed by its President Prof. Moses Audi and Secretary Silas Anche, condemned the attempted kidnapping of their traditional ruler and the subsequent disappearance of his wife. The association called for calm, urging the government to fulfill its responsibilities.
