Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the 2023 election, Adewole Adebayo, has praised organized labour for suspending the industrial action embarked upon over minimum wage.
In a post on his official X account, @Pres_ Adebayo said the suspension has offered President Bola Tinubu the opportunity to resolve the minimum wage issue.
He said: I commend the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, for suspending the strike promptly as battered Nigerians cannot endure another blow in a rattled economy.
“The onus is on President Tinubu to show leadership and resolve the minimum wage issue with rationality and realism on both sides.”
