Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to represent the Super Eagles in front of home supporters, according to reports.
The Hatayspor midfielder, who hails from Turkey, has been named in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Born in England, Dele-Bashiru is returning to Nigeria after 20 years.
Expressing his excitement, the Sheffield Wednesday player emphasized the significance of playing for Nigeria.
“It’s a tremendous honor for me, and it means everything to my family, parents, and relatives. Representing Nigeria fills me with pride, knowing I can make them all proud,” he said.
