Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has laid the foundation for the five-star International Conference Centre Hotel in the state.
In a post on his official X account, @PNMbah said the investment is an enabler that will position Enugu State as a preferred destination for conferences in Africa.
He said: “I had the honour of laying the foundation stone for a five-star International Conference Centre Hotel in Enugu.
“I also inspected the long-abandoned 5,000-capacity Enugu International Conference Centre, which our administration is currently completing and upgrading to modern standards.
“The five-star facility is an investment enabler, which we hope would position Enugu State a preferred destination for conferences in Africa.
“Every necessary arrangement to ensure that it is completed within the stipulated time has been made.
“We are also hoping that the International Conference Centre will be ready in a few months. We are eager to welcome the world to the Coal City.”
