Lagos State Government has issued issued a 48-hour contravention notice to owners of properties built on Right-Of-Way of drainage channel in Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Isolo.
In a post on his official X account, the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, @tokunbo_wahab said the order is in accordance with the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law, 2017.
He said: “The Drainage Enforcement and Compliance Department of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources @LasgMOE has issued a 48-hour contravention notice to owners of properties built on Right-Of-Way of drainage channel in Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Isolo.
“This is in accordance with the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law, 2017 and the renewed drive of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jidesanwoolu administration’s effort to ensure free flow of rainwater and prevent flooding across the State.”
