The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Special Needs, Kamil Aransi, has hailed the successful passage of the Osun State Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill 2024 as a significant step towards fostering inclusion for People With Disabilities (PWDs) in the state.
Aransi expressed his appreciation to Adeyemi Adewumi, the lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency, for championing the bill. He emphasized that the legislation not only ensures the welfare, health, and education of individuals with disabilities but also safeguards their rights, marking a positive stride towards their full integration into society.
According to Aransi, “The Disability Prohibition Bill would give equal rights to participation in decision-making and persons with disabilities would be able to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the state.”
Aransi further revealed that Governor Adeleke is enthusiastic about signing the bill into law, establishing the bureau, and ensuring its effective operation for the benefit of the public.
