Dele Momodu Accuses APC of Undermining Opposition, Criticizes Tinubu's Leadership

Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), voiced his concerns on Thursday, accusing the All Progressives Congress (APC) of actively undermining the opposition.

Momodu claimed that the APC employs various tactics, including bribery and intimidation, to weaken opposition forces. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today program, Momodu attributed all challenges encountered by the PDP to the actions of the APC.

He specifically criticized President Bola Tinubu for allegedly suppressing opposition voices, despite having once been a prominent opposition leader himself before the APC ousted the PDP from power.

“APC will do everything possible to destroy opposition; buy those who are buyable, to terrorize those who are not buyable and make sure that the party is in disarray, that is all.

“You see, part of my admiration for then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos was the role he played as an opposition leader.

“Unfortunately, now we have a former opposition leader in government, and they don’t want opposition, it’s an irony,” he said.

The main opposition party has not been able to resolve the crisis that hit the party following the fallout of its presidential election primary in 2023 which cost it victory in the general election.
