Mauricio Pochettino, the Chelsea manager, has provided an update on the players who will be absent from his team’s upcoming Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
Pochettino has been facing a shortage of key players due to injuries in recent weeks, with Raheem Sterling, Enzo Fernandez, Reece James, and Ben Chilwell all sidelined.
During his pre-match press conference, Pochettino further confirmed that Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi would also be unavailable for the clash against Tottenham.
Asked for an update on his squad, the former PSG manager said: “No good news because we cannot recall any players from the last [injury] list. And we need to add two more – Disasi and Thiago. They are not available for tomorrow.”
