Amidst the rape allegations involving former Brazilian football stars Dani Alves and Robinho, Didier Drogba, the iconic Chelsea player, has shared his thoughts on the matter.
The recent legal troubles have cast a dark shadow over the reputations of Alves and Robinho, potentially resulting in severe legal repercussions, including imprisonment.
While Alves is currently appealing his conviction and has been granted temporary release on bail, Robinho faces the daunting prospect of a nine-year prison sentence for his alleged involvement in a 2013 gang rape case.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Drogba expressed his sadness at the situation, acknowledging its gravity.
The Ivorian said: “The Alves and Robinho issues? They are players who have had great races, but these episodes show that we are all human, with weaknesses.
“It’s something that can happen and it’s sad to recognize it. Life is not just about having been a great player.”
