Tobi Amusan, the current world record holder in the 100m hurdles, is gearing up to defend her Wanda Diamond League title in Xiamen, China, commencing on April 20th.
At 26 years old, Amusan will confront formidable opponents including Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, world champion Danielle Williams, and world indoor champion Devynne Charlton in this highly anticipated race.
Having clinched the Wanda Diamond League crown for three consecutive years, Amusan, hailing from Ogun State, Nigeria, is eyeing a fourth consecutive victory. She made history in 2023 by becoming the second woman ever to secure a hat-trick of 100m hurdles titles in Diamond League history.
Her exceptional performance is underscored by her world-record time of 12.12 seconds, achieved in Oregon, United States, back in 2021.
