Service chiefs, on Wednesday, appeared before the Senate Joint Committee, which includes the Army, Navy, Defence, and Airforce committees, to investigate the killing of 17 soldiers in a Delta State community.
The incident occurred when military personnel engaged in a peacekeeping mission in the state were ambushed and killed last Thursday in Okuama community, Ughelli South Local Government Area.
Due to the sensitivity of the matter, the Chairman of the joint committee, Ahmed Lawan, announced that the investigative hearing would be conducted behind closed doors.
