Recruitment: Police warn Kogi applicants to beware of fraudsters

The Kogi State Police Command has issued a cautionary alert to candidates applying for the 2022 police constable recruitment, advising them to remain vigilant against fraudulent activities.

SP William Ovye Aya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Kogi, conveyed this warning in a statement on Monday as he provided updates on the upcoming Computer-Based Test for eligible applicants.

Aya said, “The Kogi State Police Command wishes to inform the general public, particularly applicants of Kogi origin, who applied for General Duty in the ongoing Recruitment Exercise and participated in the recent Physical/Credentials Screening Exercise, that the Computer-Based Test to be administered by JAMB has been scheduled to take place from Tuesday 5Th – Wednesday 6Th March 2024, across the designated centres released by the JAMB.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, while congratulating the successful applicants for the CBT, reiterates that the recruitment is free, thereby warning applicants to beware of job scammers who may want to defraud them.”

He advised applicants to shun any form of examination malpractice as well as any other act that was contrary to the rules for the examination, adding that anybody caught would be prosecuted accordingly.
