Eugene Agagbe, the head coach of Lobi Stars, has commended his players for their resilience in securing a victory over Katsina United on matchday 23. Agagbe expressed confidence that the determination shown by the players will be instrumental in achieving the team’s season objectives.
The Pride of Benue emerged victorious with a 2-0 win against the Chanji Boys at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday, with goals from John Victor and Alao Danbani contributing to the team’s success.
“I thank my players. They have shown strong character that they want to win the league,” he stated in a post-match interview.
“What they have exhibited against Katsina United is an indication that they want to go somewhere, and by the special grace of God, we shall continue to fight.
“As I have always said, the league is getting tougher, and we will do better in our next game as well.”
Lobi Stars moved to the top of the table following the win.
