Rep Member Disburses Cash To Supporters As Grants

Muhammad Bello Shehu, a member of the House of Representatives, has distributed a sum of N5 million as start-up grants to supporters of his party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). The lawmaker, widely known as MB Shehu, disbursed the funds at an event held in Fagge local government area.

MB Shehu stated that the financial gesture was intended to provide support to his party’s supporters for initiating new ventures or investing in their existing businesses. Representing the Fagge Federal Constituency of Kano State, he expressed gratitude for the backing and dedication shown by the supporters during the 2023 elections, both for his personal success and that of NNPP.

Explaining the breakdown of the distribution, MB Shehu mentioned that 16 beneficiaries would receive N200,000 each, seven would be given N100,000 each, and 20 others would be granted N50,000 each. The empowerment program, inaugurated in Fagge A and Yanmata Gabas wards on Friday, is set to continue on a monthly basis.

MB Shehu clarified that the funds distributed to beneficiaries were sourced from his monthly salary. He further disclosed his intention to continue this initiative, covering two wards each month until December of the current year.
