Watch video of Eagles mourning former Reps member, four others who died watch Nigeria, S’Africa tie

Super Eagles have mourned Nigerian fans who lost their lives during the tension-soaked semifinal victory over South Africa in the ongoing African Cup of Nations.

The team observed one minute of silence to mourn the passing of these Nigerians during their dinner on Thursday.

Captain Ahmed Musa led the process and the players were seen looking sober as a result of the incidents.

At least four people including a former House of Representatives member, Dr Cairo Ojougboh lost their lives after the Bafana Bafana forced Eagles into a penalty shootout. Nigeria eventually triumphed 4-2.

Others are the Kwara State University Deputy Bursar, Alhaji Ayuba Abdullahi; a sales reprsentatives, Mikhail Osundiji; a serving National Youth Service Corps member, identified simply as Samuel and an Anambra-born businessman based in Cote d’Ivoire, Osondu Nwoye.
