The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, is gearing up to introduce a Special Intervention Squad (SIS) aimed at tackling the menace of kidnappers in specific areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Upon its launch, the special operations will be deployed across all Area Councils in the FCT.
In recent weeks, there has been a surge in the abduction and killing of residents in the Bwari Area Council, prompting the need for proactive measures to address the security challenges in the region.
