Nigerian Army intercepts large quantity of drugs in Ogun State

The 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army reported that it has seized substantial quantities of drugs along with the associated vehicles. This information was conveyed in a statement issued on Saturday by Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu, the Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade.

Brigadier General Aminu stated that the intercepted drugs, totaling over 365 pieces of Cannabis Sativa wrapped in pawpaw-sized parcels and weighing approximately 176 kilograms, were handed over to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Ogun State Command, on Thursday, January 11, 2024. The suspect responsible for the illicit substances was apprehended by troops during a routine patrol on January 6, 2024, at Olodo Imeko along the Imeko – Abeokuta road in Ogun State.

Representing the Commander, Colonel Legborsi Deedum Nule, the Garrison Commander, emphasized the Brigade’s dedication to collaborating with other security agencies to eliminate crimes in the state. He underscored the Brigade’s commitment to ensuring that troops consistently uphold high standards and professionalism in the execution of their duties.
