The Nigerian Police Force has issued a stern warning against the popular catchphrase “No Gree for Anybody,” cautioning citizens and youths about its potential consequences.
The phrase, which has gained widespread attention, is interpreted by many as a commitment to staying true to one’s beliefs and resisting external influence.
However, the police, represented by spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed during a press briefing that the slogan has raised concerns within the security community. Adejobi emphasized that intelligence reports suggest the slogan, seemingly harmless on the surface, could have the potential to incite a revolutionary movement and pose a threat to national security.
Adejobi stated, “‘No go gree for anybody’ is being seen as just a normal talk, but in security business, in the security community, we have seen it as a very dangerous slogan that can trigger a crisis.”
