Man crushed to death on Seme expressway

The Badagry Unit Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reported that on Wednesday night, a man was fatally struck by a Toyota Camry at Iyana Ajara along the Seme expressway in Badagry, Lagos.

Mr. William Manga, the Unit Commander of FRSC, Badagry Unit Command, confirmed the incident to journalists on Thursday in Badagry, stating that the accident occurred around 5:25 pm. 

According to him, the Toyota Camry lost control due to speeding and collided with a man crossing the road, leading to the victim’s death. The deceased’s body has been taken to the General Hospital in Badagry.

“The driver of the Toyota Camry had been handed over to the Police for proper investigation and prosecution,” he said.

Manga urged drivers to avoid reckless driving and emphasized the importance of regularly inspecting their vehicles to ensure the proper functionality of the brake system before taking them on the road.

While expressing condolences, the unit commander extended sympathies to the family of the deceased and offered prayers for divine strength to cope with the loss.
