President Bola Tinubu has named several executive directors for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), both falling under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
Within the Nigerian Ports Authority, Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet assumes the role of Executive Director for Finance and Administration. Engr. Olalekan Badmus takes charge as the Executive Director of Marine and Operations, while Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar will serve as the Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.
In the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Jibril Abba is appointed as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services. Mr. Chudi Offodile will take on the role of Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi is appointed as the Executive Director of Operations.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, conveyed that President Tinubu endorsed these appointments, expressing confidence in the appointees’ remarkable qualifications and expecting them to efficiently fulfill their collective duties. The aim is to significantly bolster the Marine and Blue Economy Sector’s contribution to the nation’s GDP.
