The NSCDC Jigawa State Command has affirmed its dedication to safeguarding lives, properties, and critical national assets during the Christmas and New Year festivities.
As stated by Adamu Shehu, the corps’ Public Relations Officer in Dutse on Thursday, the NSCDC has prohibited the use of fireworks and knockouts during these celebrations. Additionally, the corps has deployed personnel across the state’s 27 local government areas to ensure law and order.
Shehu highlighted the specialized units involved in this deployment, including anti-vandal, agro rangers, armed squad, counter-terrorism, Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, Nuclear, and Explosives Response (CBRNE), intelligence/investigation, as well as medical and disaster management teams.
Moreover, Commandant Mohammed Danjuma cautioned vandals against entering the state, emphasizing the firm stance against any form of sabotage.
“Specific emphasis is made on places of worship, public utilities, recreational centers, government installations, motor parks, markets, malls, and other identified dark areas.
“Entrance and exit routes to the state were also manned including borders for stop and search operations,” he said.
