Antoine Griezmann, the Atletico Madrid forward, acknowledged his team’s inability to contain Mason Greenwood during Tuesday night’s match.
Greenwood, currently on loan at Getafe from Manchester United, showcased a stellar performance as both squads settled for a 3-3 draw in LaLiga.
The outcome caused Atletico to lose ground in the title race.
Getafe secured an equalizer in the 93rd minute, earning the draw. While Griezmann expressed frustration with his teammates, he commended Greenwood for his performance.
He said: “Mason Greenwood was really causing us problems in the second half.
“We couldn’t stop him and it cost us the game.”
