Dr. Bawa Ahmed Abimiku, formerly the Commissioner of Health in Nasarawa State, has passed away.
A source from his family, confirming the news, disclosed that Abimiku, known also by the traditional title of Durbin Eggon, lost his battle with a prolonged illness in the early hours of Tuesday, December 19, at the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the health sector, serving as both Commissioner and Member of the State Executive Council (SEC) under the administration of the late Alhaji (Dr) Aliyu Akwe Doma.
His burial is scheduled to take place at the Abuja Central Mosque, FCT, at 2:00 pm in accordance with Islamic customs.
