Following the clash with Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has showed desire in accepting peace.
Wike, on the other hand, promised not to let anybody bring him down in the midst of his new peace attitude.
The immediate former governor made the revelation while speaking to the traditional rulers of Ogbaland who had come to pay him a visit on the occasion of his 56th birthday at his house in Port Harcourt.
According to Wike: “No politician will fold his hands and allow himself to be dragged down.
“I and my team would accept peace but we won’t allow ourselves to be dragged down because when we go down, who will protect our people. Who will talk about our own interest.”
The crisis between Wike and Fubara had snowballed into disharmony within the state legislature as 27 lawmakers had defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
As the crisis deepened, the state House of Assembly was razed down by fire and Fubara’s administration demolished the complex.
