Isaac Aloma, widely known as ZicSaloma, the popular skit maker and singer, opened up about the lack of support from his family regarding his pursuit in entertainment.
He revealed that apart from his mother, none of his family members backed his decision, particularly his four brothers who discouraged him whenever he attempted to sing during his upbringing.
As the youngest son, ZicSaloma recounted instances where his elder siblings would intentionally damage his music cassettes, actively opposing his passion for music.
During an honest conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the entertainer disclosed that even when he ventured into content creation, his family remained unsupportive, consistently opposed to his endeavors.
Despite facing skepticism and opposition from his brothers who never believed in his talent, ZicSaloma proudly declared that he has now become the pivotal figure in the family, likening himself to “the chief cornerstone.”
He said, “It was only my mum that supported me. I remember when I was supposed to go for a competition in South Africa, I was supposed to go with two family and friends. So I took my mum, naturally, I am supposed to carry my siblings and I can not. Because none of them have ever supported me. I went with my friends.”
